Cookie Policy

We use cookies and similar technologies to run https://www.cinematik.app and to understand and improve how it is used. This cookie policy forms part of Cinematik Limited's Privacy Policy and explains what cookies we set, why, and how you can control them.

You can change or withdraw your choices at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of our website.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small piece of data that a website stores on your device when you visit. It typically contains information about the website, a unique identifier that lets the site recognise your browser when you return, data that serves the cookie's purpose, and the cookie's lifespan. Similar technologies (such as browser storage and pixels) can be used for the same purposes; where we refer to "cookies" we mean these too.

Cookies set by the site you are visiting are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by other companies (for example, our analytics and advertising partners) are called third-party cookies, and can be used to recognise your device across other sites that use the same service.

Your choices

When you first visit, we ask for your consent through a cookie banner with two options:

• Strictly necessary — always on. These are required for the site to work and cannot be switched off.
• Analytics and advertising — off until you accept. Accepting lets us measure how the site and our campaigns perform, and share limited activity with our advertising partners (Meta and Google) for measurement and advertising. If you decline, none of these cookies are set, and our own first-party measurement (Sparkline) still runs — without cookies or any persistent identifier.

We store your choice in a cookie called cc_cookie so we can remember it on your next visit. You can revisit or withdraw your consent at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser.

Cookies we use

Strictly necessary (always active):
• _jumpstart_session (Cinematik, first-party) — keeps you signed in and holds session state such as your basket, selected location, security token and preferences. Expires when your session ends.
• cc_cookie (Cinematik, first-party) — remembers your cookie consent choices. Lasts about 6 months.

Analytics and advertising (only set if you accept):
• sparkline_vid (Cinematik, first-party) — a random identifier used by our own Sparkline analytics to recognise return visits. Lasts about 13 months. If you don't accept, Sparkline still measures your visit, but without this cookie or any persistent identifier.
• _ga, _ga_<id> (Google Analytics, first-party) — distinguish visitors and sessions for aggregate reporting. Last up to about 2 years.
• _gcl_* (Google Ads, first-party) — measure ad conversions, such as when an ad click leads to a sign-up or booking. Last about 3 months.
• _fbp, _fbc (Meta, first-party) — measure and attribute the performance of our Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising. Last about 3 months.

Where you have accepted analytics and advertising cookies, we may also send some of this activity to Meta and Google directly from our servers — for example, a hashed (irreversible) version of your email address — so they can measure advertising. See our Privacy Policy for the full list of recipients and the information shared.

Third-party cookies are also governed by the provider's own policies:
• Google (Analytics and Ads): https://policies.google.com/technologies/cookies
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram): https://www.facebook.com/policies/cookies/

Managing cookies in your browser

Most browsers let you see the cookies stored on your device and delete or block them, usually in the browser's settings or help pages. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working.

Changes to this policy

We may update this cookie policy from time to time to reflect changes in the services we use or in the law. Any changes will be posted on this page.
